I have been practicing for 15 years. I am a graduate of the University of Florida College of Dentistry. I practice all scopes of dentistry. My focus is on restorative and preventive dentistry. I have been placing dental implants since 2003 and continue to further my education. I have attained Fellowship status with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and membership in the World Clinical Laser & Imaging (WCLI) Institute. I also continue to further my knowledge in orthodontic and occlusion and 50 to 75 hours of continued education per year.
I was born in Colombia and came to the US in 1982, growing up in Hollywood, FL, before leaving to Gainesville to complete my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I have a bachelor’s degree in microbiology, a master’s degree in nutritional science, and a DMD.
I have four beautiful boys and, when not practicing dentistry, I enjoy spending all my time with my boys and my awesome wife. I am involved in coaching soccer with one of my boys. I also enjoy road cycling and try to do group rides on most weekends.
I enjoy what I do and strive to have a positive outcome on the oral health of my patients. I believe in investing in technology to have better and more efficient equipment for my patients. I have invested in laser dental equipment, CAD/CAM dentistry, and dental cone beam for better planning and diagnosis.
